Federal employees definitely get no love when it comes to family leave. If you’re the supervisor of an expecting employee or have a baby on the way yourself, this episode will provide a good starter list of resources and issues to consider to prepare for birth. OPM’s rules for leave donation (which you can only receive if you’ve got ANOTHER issue beyond pregnancy itself) and the flexibilities handbook can be found here:

If you’d like to get a copy of the memos I used to request advanced sick leave and get into the leave donor program, send me an email at love@fedupward.com and I’ll respond with a redacted version.
